Vicborne, established in 2005 as a registered Non-Profit Organisation (NPO), stands as a resilient community of approximately 87 properties, strategically positioned along Selborne Road, Westminster Road, and Victoria Road.

Our commitment to safety is unwavering, with a robust 24/7 security presence generously funded by our dedicated residents. Proforce security guards, positioned strategically along the tranquil greenbelt, patrol on foot around the clock, ensuring the safety and privacy of our community.

A detailed map of our suburban landscape not only showcases the layout of our community but also highlights the key areas where security measures, including a boom and closure system, have been implemented to further enhance security.

Situated within the Randburg region and technically part of the Maroeladal suburb, Vicborne enjoys a unique blend of tranquility and accessibility. Furthermore, our local law enforcement presence is provided by the diligent officers at the Douglasdale police station, solidifying our commitment to a secure and harmonious neighborhood.

Security is a priority

In 2005, our community faced a turning point when a series of harrowing break-ins prompted residents to take action. It was then that we initiated the road closure project, a pivotal step towards fortifying our security.

Our dedicated team of six security guards who tirelessly patrol our community, alternating shifts around the clock. These vigilant guards are more than just a line of defense; they are our ears and our eyes, ensuring our safety at all times. They maintain a direct link to the Proforce Security control room, ready to respond swiftly to any situation that may arise.

However, what truly sets our community apart is the collective strength of our residents. With thousands of watchful eyes, we form a formidable network, surpassing the security measures of typical complexes where reliance solely rests on guards. Our neighbours know each other personally, and that familiarity breeds trust and a genuine sense of community. It’s this trust that binds us together, enabling us to look out for one another and collectively ensure the well-being and security of our cherished neighbourhood
